2:8:The first couple cross and cast into second position (ending improper); pass back to back, cast back up to the top, and turn with two hands back home^27:4:First couple join hands and slip down the middle and return to second place, seconds moving up.^43:4:Swap diagonals at the top passing near shoulder each time. Notes: Note: Hart used the term Gipsy to refer to the first figure. He explained it as: 'To Gipsy is, after crossing over 1 Cu. to pass your Partner back to back & cast up again turning your Partner with both hands to your own sides. NB. This is a fashionable and pretty Figure.'

The original figures are: The 1st couple cross over one couple and Gipsy. lead down the middle, up again; right & left at top.
