Music by RegencyDances.org

There is a serious shortage of accurate period music to dance to, using the type of instruments and in the kind of small ensemble as it would have been played 200 years ago. Part of RegencyDances.org mission is therefore to create good quality and historically accurate sound recordings of the music for carefully researched dances from the English Regency Period.

With generous support from the backers of our two Kickstarter projects and a grant of £3,000 from the Early Dance Circle - plus a lot of hard work and good will from researchers, dancers, musicians and organisers, we can now offer you music to dance to.

You can purchase the music as physical CDs, album downloads or individual tracks.

We are also pleased to be able to announce an early acceptance of our work. The BBC chose six of our dances from our second CD for the recent Poldark series. Because it was well-researched, well-played and of exactly the right period.

The job isn't finished. If you continue to support us, we can go on producing more outstanding music for you to dance to.
