| 8 bars | All six hands across with right hand and left hand back |
| 8 bars | 1st couple lead down the middle and up and cast into second place |
| 4 bars | All give right hand to partner and balance forward and back and change places men turning partners under their arms |
| 4 bars | Repeat giving left hand to partner and balance forward and back and change places men turning partners under their arms |
| 4 bars | All turn the dancer diagonally to their right with right hand |
| 4 bars | All turn the dancer diagonally to their left with left hand |
| Repeat whole dance from the progressed position - spare dancers at top and bottom may turn or dance hands across where possible | |
