Gymnastic Morris Dance

 
Morris dance in the form of a Quadrille

8 barsAll 8 chasse forward and back again, then strike sticks with partners (first) and corners (second)
4 barsAll eight dancers turn to the right and dance around into opposite place
8 barsAll 8 chasse forward and back again, then strike sticks with partners (first) and corners (second)
4 barsAll eight dancers turn to the right and dance around into opposite place
16 barsChain slowly all the around the set, strike sticks at top with the first person you meet, then at bottom with the second, etc. back to places
8 barsChain quickly all the around the set a second time, strike sticks first with the right hand with the first person you meet, then with the left, etc. back to places
8 barsChain quickly all the around the set a third time, strike sticks at bottom with the first person you meet, then at top, etc. back to places
8 barsAll eight chasse forward and strike the floor twice with sticks, then return and strike the floor twice with sticks
8 barsAll eight take hold of the next persons stick to form a ring, slip round to the left and right
8 barsAll eight chasse forward and strike the floor twice with sticks, then return and strike the floor twice with sticks
The side couples repeat the dance
