| 8 bars | The lady in top position (lady 4) and her opposite cross giving right hand, and cross back with left hand ending in a line of 4 across |
| 8 bars | All four balance in a line, twice; then two hand turn the new partner back to new home positions |
| 8 bars | All 4 new couples chasse-croise, join right hands at the corner and set, and back again |
